CRAFT SHOW LOVE

This is the third two day craft show I did, ever.   Really didn't make much money a lot of looks a lot of business cards taken.  BUT I have such a good time meeting other crafter's,get ideas, and visit with the people you met in the past years. People are so very talented.  And the church ladies could not be nicer, and we are all thankful for that, they bring you coffee lunch and man your table for the much needed "potty" breaks.  People who do crafts are never in it for any real money (although nice) they do it because they love what the do.  

So the next time you go to a craft show buy something and make someone very happy that day.

AUTUMN

Today, I sit back and wait for the beauty of autumn, the trees are  starting to show their colors the air smells different.   Autumn is here.  It marks the transition from summer to winter.  The mornings are crisp and the nights are a bit colder. But the colors, they are so amazing, just too many to mention.  I think of my jewelry and the colors my customers would like. What designs are new for the upcoming holidays.  I have so many ideas, sleep is not an option. So as the summer of 2013 comes to a close, so does my vacation back to Bee-Dazzled by Bettina.

Sterling Silver Druzy Pendant

I had so much fun designing and making this Sterling Silver Druzy quarts pendant.  Druzy is a coating of fine crystals on a rock fracture surface, vein or within a geode.

When doing Sterling Silver with stone requires a lot of time and patients thank you Barbara for all the help and patients you gave me.  Designing and using the torch gets easier.  On to another project.

Silversmith project #1

I belong to a Lapidary Club in my community, we are a group of very energetic men and women who are willing to help and teach each other. WOW. I've been taking classes and learning how to do almost everything.  My passion is still beading.  BUT Glass Fusing, Silversmith, Wire Wrapping and Stone Cutting are just the beginning.  I can not master everything, but I am going to try everything.

This is my first silver project, it was made out of a cocktail fork. I cut the fork down bent it inserted a fused glass stone drilled holes then added jump rings and chain, this took me a week of very hard work.  On to my next project.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013

Well another year is gone by.  I can hardly believe it is 2013.  I am thinking about the resolutions I would like to make and KEEP this year.  More exercise, eat healthier visit with family and friends more.

One resolution I know I will keep; learn more jewelry techniques and keep loving what I do.   Making jewelry is my passion.
